Harris Homestead: Fridge Pickles 3-31-20
During this pandemic, I have been using the time at home to learn and enjoy my time in the kitchen again. When I think about my Mema, I always think of food and cooking because it was something we both loved and it connected us in a way at the time I didn’t even realize. One thing in the summer, you could always find in her fridge was a fresh jar of fridge pickles. She loved pickling and these were a staple in her kitchen. When I make these pickles, I always think of her and how much I appreciate the time she spent teaching me about life. It is time I cherish so much now.
