I have been wanting to try Evie Mae’s Pit Barbeque in Wolfforth, TX ever since it was selected by Texas Monthly as one of the top 50 BBQ joints in the great state of Texas. The line was long on this Saturday at noon but it moved really quick. The Evie Mae’s crew were friendly and made it a great BBQ experience. The beef brisket was just $12.50 a pound and it was smoky awesomeness. The pork ribs were competition worthy for sure. The turkey was so juicy and the sausage had a great snap. The pinto beans were Gay’s fave of the day and the baked potato casserole was a side dish to have again and again. If you are in the Panhandle and need your BBQ fix, Evie Mae’s is the place to stop and enjoy.
